Overseen by the U.S Department of Labor. An apprenticeship is a high-quality, work-based education
and training program that allows students to hit the career path running. In these paid positions,
apprentices must work 40 hours a week and receive a minimum of 2,000 on-the-job training hours.
While attending training; students will earn while they learn. This extraordinary group of students
must uphold rigorous standards, both academically and in service to their community. Once
obtaining their State License, the student will obtain a permanent position as an instructor and earn
nationally recognized DOL certificate.
The top self-motivated students will receive training on entrepreneurial leadership, strategy, venture
financing and startup skills. Students will receive help registering their business with the State of
Texas, a career coach, website, business cards and establish clientele.
